We’re delighted to share that two Skewb colleagues have been shortlisted at the 2026 Women in Utilities Awards – one of the industry’s most respected celebrations of leadership and emerging talent.

This year saw a record-breaking number of entries, with more than 260 submissions from across the utilities sector.

Nic Evans, Director of Gas Transition and Futures, has been shortlisted for Woman of the Year, in recognition of her leadership, impact and influence across both Skewb and the wider utilities sector.

From her early career on the frontline as an apprentice gas engineer to her current role, Nic’s journey is grounded in real-world experience and a deep commitment to people-centred leadership.

Alongside her role at Skewb, Nic also serves as President of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM), becoming only the second woman in the organisation’s history to hold the position.

Nic’s influence extends well beyond the UK. As she enters the final weeks of her term as President, Nic is currently representing the Institute on a tour of the Far East, including Hong Kong and China.

Eloise Blaxall, Quality and Compliance Manager, has been shortlisted for Rising Star (Utility Partner) – a category so competitive this year that judges chose to split it into Utility and Utility Partner. Known for her integrity, technical expertise and collaborative approach, Eloise has quickly established herself as a trusted voice with clients and colleagues, supporting complex compliance and operational challenges with clarity and confidence.
