Why Skewdio Exists
Skewdio started with a simple idea: give Skewbers a space to be heard. Every company has hidden stories, moments, thoughts, experiences that rarely get shared but shape how we show up every day. We wanted to create a space where those stories could live. Where people could speak freely, honestly, and be truly heard, not just for what they do, but for who they are. Having a platform like this means something. It strengthens our culture, helps us feel connected, and builds a sense of pride and belonging. When people feel seen and valued, they show up differently, for themselves, and for each other.
The Heart of Each Episode
The key to a good skewdio episode is finding the right tone, intention and emotion to really help keep the listeners engaged and involved, and its whats between the lines that really matters. Its not about creating something with no emotion behind it, its about creating an episode where the listeners truly feel their involved. The goal has always been authenticity. You’ll hear real voices, real laughs, honest thoughts, exactly what makes each episode meaningful. Every episode follows a careful and curated process to help the final product show the intentions and stories of the ones involved.
We start with a raw recording, a real conversation between those involved just like ones they would have off camera. They might use a script to help them stay on track, however the best moments are the ones that happen off script, as the moments when someone really gets into a topic and gets into their own, its show the true values behind the podcast. Editing isn’t about cleaning things up too much, it’s about making space for the story to come through clearly. We cut distractions, not personality. We keep the “you” in it. Then come the final touches: some music, better pacing, maybe a few small tweaks to help everything flow. The goal is always to help the speaker feel proud of what they shared.
And then comes that moment when we publish, and someone’s voice gets to move through the Skewb ecosystem. This is the most important moment on our end as the final product has to be able to show the true meaning behind the podcast, and its our jobs to make that happen, we need to be able to capture the real and honest conversation in a way the audience will be able to gather and feel like coming back to watch more.
Not everyone feels comfortable taking the spotlight, but everyone deserves to be heard. Skewdio gives people a way to speak up and be seen. The Skewdio is truly a tool of empowerment being able to give skewbers a voice in a way that there comfortable as the recording isn’t being livestreamed and a way where they can go as many times as they need to be able to get their true intentions out.
Once you’ve heard someone’s story, you see them differently. Maybe with more empathy, maybe with more curiosity. And that’s where stronger teams begin. Skewdio isn’t about process or policy. It’s about something more lasting: shared experience. The kind that builds real culture quietly, consistently, from the inside out.
For me, this work has never been about having control over a story it’s about caring for it. It’s about treating someone’s words with respect, making sure they feel held and honoured. Editing Skewdio has made me a better listener, a more patient collaborator, and honestly, a more thoughtful human.
